The Jim Henson Company's "Julie’s Greenroom" Premieres March 17th

In "Julie's Greenroom", Julie Andrews stars as Ms. Julie, the director of the Wellspring Center for the Performing Arts. Ms. Julie, along with her assistant Gus (played by Giullian Yao Gioiello), will bring the performing arts to a new generation of children with the help of the show’s kids, called Greenies, played by original puppets created by the Jim Henson Creature Shop. Over the course of the show, each episode will feature a different aspect of the performing arts – like music, dance, mime, voice, comedy, circus arts and more as the show’s children prepare their own original musical production.

The show promises a heavy lineup of celebrity guests to help teach the kids along the way. The trailer, which you can see below, includes stars like Sara Bareilles, Alec Baldwin, Idina Menzel, Carol Burnett, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt co-stars Tituss Burgess and Ellie Kemper.

Andrews said she’s delighted with the series, saying, “this project represents the fulfillment of a long held dream to educate children about the wonder of the arts. I am thrilled to be partnering with my daughter and long time coauthor, Emma, to bring this show to life along with our co-creator, Judy Rothman-Rofė. We could not be more honored to be working with the extraordinary Jim Henson Company. We are equally delighted to be premiering as a Netflix original production.”

13 half hour episodes of Julie’s Greenroom will premiere on Friday, March 17th on Netflix.
