The Jim Henson Company Secures Licensees for "Labyrinth"

The Jim Henson Company has secured a swathe of new partners as the firm continues its 30th anniversary celebrations of the film, "Labyrinth".

The firm has tapped up numerous new partners in the apparel and figurine markets as it ramps up the licensing activity surrounding the cult 1986 film starring David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly.

New apparel partners include Trademark Products in the UK and Zen Monkey Studios in the US, while Funko joins the roster of partner to create stylized figures.

The trio of new partners joins an existing line-up of top licensees for Labyrinth that includes Truffle Shuffle for apparel, ceramics, bags and prints in the UK; River Horse for board games in the US, Canada and select territories within Europe and Asia Pacific.

Meanwhile, Card Corporation has launched themed debit cards in the US and Canada while Toy Vault has delivered a raft of plush, novelty and games in the US.

Boom Entertainment is the worldwide publishing partner, Trevco signed for apparel, bedding and home in the US and Ripple Junction for posters and pins in the US< Canada and the UK.

“Labyrinth’s dedicated fan base continues to grow year after year and with the 30th anniversary celebration gathering steam, we are seeing consumer demand for new products and an increase in sales,” said Federico San Martin, vice president, global consumer products at The Jim Henson Company.

“Today’s fans, both young and old, will be able to extend their Labyrinth experience with the array of new products available at retail this year.”
